Its not often that you find a place like this.
Surrounded by hundreds of acres of ancient woodland, heath and grassy plains, you'll discover that The Station House at Holmsley - a 19th century former railway station - has been lovingly and sympathetically converted into what many say is the finest tea house in the New Forest.
We offer our famous and great value 'tea in the forest' cream teas, winner of many awards over the years, as well as delicious breakfasts, a wide ranging lunch menu, daily specials and lighter bites, made, wherever possible from locally sourced and produced ingredients.
With seating for up to 70 people inside plus a further 200 outside, you're sure to find space to relax and enjoy what we offer. Not to mention that we can be found on one of the New Forest's best cycle routes, taking in the scenery of our National Park from the comfort and flat of the old Ringwood to Brockenhurst railway. We're also only a short walk from the Forestry commission car parks of Holmsley, Wilverley Plain, Wootton Bridge or Clay Hill.
Take all this, add in our touch of magic and our enviable location and you have a beautiful venue for a casual gathering of friends or a special occasion.
And only a stones throw from Burley...

The spirit of Christmas is alive
A goup of customers from Cedar Lawn Nursing Home, Romsey with their Activities Organiser Lyn Upson visited us over the Christmas period. An unknown benefactor who was also having an afternoon cream tea was so impressed with the care and attention Lyn and her team were giving to the people under their care that he gave Lyn some money to pay for their tea. She thought he had given her two £10 notes but on looking later discovered it was £100. Lyn was over the moon with the gesture which not only paid for their tea but will be used to purchase new games for their day room. Lyn would like to say a big thank you to the gentleman as it made her Christmas.
On that note a very happy new year to all our customers
Please note that we wil be closed on 5th/6th January 2009
